Saravana Bhavan: an Indian Restaurant in the Heart of Rome

A large chain of Indian restaurants chose us to design their new location in Rome. With no predefined style or format, we had complete creative freedom. We aimed to create a project on par with restaurants in London, Paris, Frankfurt, and other locations around the world. In agreement with the client, we abandoned the typical clichés of Indian restaurants and opted for a bolder approach. We chose two vibrant colors inspired by Indian spices and silks, creating entire walls in petrol blue, with backlit gaps and copper linings, thus crafting dramatic backdrops for the dining area.

Something was still missing… we selected 3D tiles and applied them one by one to decorate, creating an eclectic and glamorous venue.
